Our Ethics
We've built Shirtworks around a long-term commitment to ethical and sustainable production. From the inks we use to the wages we pay, we believe responsible business is the only kind worth doing.
Our commitments
- Soil Association accredited — Europe's first printer recognised for organic and ethical production.
- Living Wage employer — every member of our team is paid at or above the Real Living Wage.
- Fair Wear Foundation — we work with manufacturers committed to safe, fair workplaces.
- Water-based inks wherever possible to reduce environmental impact.
- Recycled and organic garment options across our t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts.
- Local production — everything decorated in our Oxford workshop, reducing transport emissions.
- Reduced waste — accurate proofs, careful colour matching, and recycling of packaging materials.
Suppliers we trust
We work with garment suppliers who hold recognised ethical certifications: Stanley/Stella (Fair Wear, GOTS, OEKO-TEX), Continental Clothing (GOTS, organic cotton), and others. Many of our garments carry Fair Wear, GOTS, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, or WRAP certification.
Sustainable garment options
- Organic cotton t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts
- Recycled polyester and recycled cotton garments
