Printed and embroidered rowing suits

Our suits feature a Hydrophilic seat, ‘Flat-lock’ seams,  Lycra Power®, Soft gripper hem and Sublimation Print

Following extensive research and development, and listening to feedback from the wider rowing community the result is our most comfortable one-piece rowing suit yet. All the men’s patterns have been re-worked to improve the fit notably adding extra length into the back of the suit so there is no restriction to movement whatsoever as you reach for the catch. We are using a lightweight fabric with enhanced moisture wicking properties to keep you comfortable. As a result of using this enhanced wicking fabric, all suits now have a lining in the back seat of the shorts only this means an enhanced comfortable fit without bulk or restriction. Not only has it superior wicking ability, the fabric used in our suits is lighter than the heavy supplex fabric used by many of our competitors well you wouldn’t buy a heavy boat – would you?

Fabric -All rowing suits in the Power Range are manufactured using a 205 gr/sm jersey fabric produced using a full dull polyamide microfibre and 30% Lycra power®. Unique features of this fabric are it’s compactness, durability, balanced elasticity and greater covering. The remarkable burst, nervousness, elasticity and power effect features, mark its powerful character, while microfibres grant unique hand feel characteristics, softness and full dull look that together with Interpower treatment, (moisture management property), assure an unrivalled comfort of use. this fabric has a long lasting finish which wicks perspiration away from the body to the outside for rapid drying. The body stays dry giving the wearer maximum comfort. All garments made from fabric containing Lycra Power can give improved endurance and greater power when muscles are covered and compressed.

Construction -Our regular customers know that in the past we have used two layers of fabrics front and back however, this limited the wicking capabilities of the layer next to your skin so we looked at an alternative. The layer at the back was just for comfort when seated, so we sourced a fabric which has enhanced hydrophilic properties an ability to wick moisture and keep it away from your skin. In addition we wanted a fabric which would provide a greater level of comfort, and it also had to have lycra to keep it’s form and move with the wearer. Hence the new superior structure of the one-piece rowing suit. We now use a soft gripper elastic on the hem of the shorts position the hem mid thigh and it won’t ride up any further. On our top of the range Power garments we have replaced regular overlocked seams and are using a process called ‘flat-seaming’ where the two layers to be joined are overlapped and joined using 6 threads giving a completely flat seam. For a next to skin base layer garment this process offers the most comfortable solution and completely eliminates the possibility of any discomfort caused by bulky seams.

To compliment this we now use a ‘sublimation’ print process to create any customisation within the one-piece rowing suit this is a technology which has been used in cycle clothing for many years but has only recently been accessible to the smaller rowing clothing market due to the advent of digital printing. This means that not only are the design possibilities almost unlimited but that we can once again eliminate the bulky seams which were a result of cut and sew techniques.

Our BODY SUIT uses the same fabrics and construction as the POWER ONE-PIECE ROWING suit but instead of a vest, the top of the suit has sleeves (mid bicep length) and a long zip at the front to help get the suit on and off.
